My first craft fair

I had managed to book a stall at Cinema City’s very first craft sale for Christmas, and it fitted perfectly timing wise for me to have a go at selling all of the ceramics that I have created over the last 12 months.

At my first craft fair

Although the table was really small I still managed to fill it and some things didn’t even get out of the box!

First ceramic that sold

I have to say for my first craft sale it went so much better than I’d hoped for, it seems the colourful things really caught peoples eyes and my bright wide deep platter sold first, and almost as soon as I replaced it with it’s little brother piece, that sold too 🙂

loved this slightly shallower bowl, the patterns remind me of Koi Carp and swirling water!

My favourite pink glaze also sold well, and I put a cup with my little teapot as a tea for one set, and that really caught the eye of a lovely lady who was really chuffed with finding it.

The Gorgeous Purple set of bowls and cups… these were popular and went quickly

I think I was surprised at how many single items I sold, so I had made sets of things, 2 mugs, 2 bowls and a milk jug, but people kept buying single items. You live and learn I guess.

My black cups, mugs, beakers and bowls were probably the least popular, even though I bloomin’ love them… but again, it’s all a learning process, maybe a different day, displayed slightly differently and they might do better…

I sold about half of the stock that I took, and had a great time… thankyou Cinema City (it was their first time hosting a Christmas fair).
