Update on the ongoing sculpture, just the sanding to go and it’s making a real difference.   Before and after of the sides. Sanding takes the lumps out beautifully. Looking at the model on his legs and I am still thinking about whether to snip the long ‘h’ support bar down,…

Starting to use MAX msp and feeling very out of my depth. For the past 5 days I have been struggling to get through the tutorials and having major problems with getting any sort of video to play back, even using the tutorial patchers didn’t work. I just kept getting…

Getting back In the workshop after a week meant that my sculpture has had long enough to really harden and gives me a chance to examine what my next step to finishing it might be. Looking over the model, the modroc has done a fair job, but, there are still…

This week I have labelled, listed, packed and delivered a selection of my lovely Raku pieces to be in the @anglianpotters Undercroft Gallery exhibition alongside over 50 other fabulous potters and artists. Private view is Friday night (13th) starts at 6.30pm. Open for two weeks so make sure to come and see all of the pretty things and see if you can spot any of my pieces 😊 last photo is a very silly photo of me having fun with clay even when it all goes wrong 🤣#wheelthrown #pottery #playwithclay #ceramics #anglianpotters A touch of sun to make the pots pop! Here are the Raku results from a rainy Saturday firing. It was well worth getting a little soggy when you get results like this ❤️ I am slightly in love with my Raku 🥰 All of these pots will be going into the Anglian Potters Spring exhibition in the Undercroft opening next weekend, I’ll post times etc soon but thought you’d like to see what came out of the kiln. 😊 #pottery #raku #shinythings #fire @anglianpotters Raku Day, drizzly and wet all yesterday but the Raku couldn’t wait ☺️ Ably assisted by the hubster on lids, leaves and sawdust duty 😁 Second Raku firing at home and still as excited by the process as the first time. I had quite a few to put through so you’ll just have to wait to see the results 😘 #raku #pottery #wheelthrown #playwithclay This the sound that comes from putting bone dry clay into my throwing water, getting ready to be reclaimed. It’s amazing! At one point there’s a jungle audio-scape then it’s frying eggs 🤣 it is not my stomach and I haven’t done anything to it! Enjoy some weird ASMR on me on a Monday ❤️ #pottery #ceramics #asmr #weirdsoundsfromthereclaimpot Throwing some shapes… well goblet/bellied mug shapes anyway 🤣. These will be either pink or purple against the grey clay which is a stunning combo ❤️ The clay is Sibelco Scandi Throwing clay and is rather lovely to use, not cheap, but bloomin’ gorgeous ! #pottery #wheelthrown #sibelcoclay #playwithclay #colourfulpottery Thought I’d play with another new clay today, the Sibelco white throwing clay, it’s not cheap so I’ve only got a tester lump of 2.5kg. Going to hopefully put these through my Raku process. The first 3 shapes were my favourites to throw and how they turned out, so I can compare these with my normal clay. And wanted to try a large sphere shape with a whole kilo, which I don’t throw that size very often… It’s buttery soft to throw with, but very easy (for me) to overstretch it when pulling those walls. See pot number 3 for the fail 🙀 . #wheelthrown #potterythrowdown #sibelco #playwithclay
