    It’s happening – today!

So after months of practicing and playing with my mini wheel and my bigger treadle wheel I seemed to have accrued an awful lot of pieces that I would like to take to the next level. On the left are all of the pieces made from a lovely new clay…

Pottery adventures #2 – Treadle Wheel

After searching and researching pottery wheels I had signed up to several pottery groups on Facebook and even though I was enjoying my mini wheel, when I saw a treadle wheel for sale and I just felt it was perfect for me! It was a good price, I could pick…

    3D scans

I always want to experiment and push whatever I make a little further and I really enjoyed my Life Sculpture Classes, and really wanted to test how accurate 3D scanning is these days. LiDar and photogrammetry are both ways to take data point information in so you can recreate your…

A little bit of throwing shapes, just like the old days. 🤪 These forms are slight adaptations from earlier cups that I personally really like to hold and use, just a more curved base shape. They’re feeling mighty thin, so hope I will be able to attach some lovely pulled handles! #pottery #wheelthrown #pulledhandles #ceramics I remember this 🤣 What better way to celebrate New Year 🤩 Getting back on the wheel is lovely, not making it easy for myself and hoping to get a trio of bud vase shapes that can be a set, the intention is to Raku and use decoration, as well as shape to tie them together. The last thrown shape went so wobbly, not quite sure why, but when I was cleaning up I slapped it with my sponge as well to add to its woes 🤪 Don’t think that one is going to make it! #pottery #wheelthrown #playwithclay #happynewyear All ready down at the Forum with lots of crafty Christmas goodies. Come on down and say hi! #forum #christmas #market I’ve had a great year with my pottery this year, pushed myself to try tricky techniques, attended a crazy intense pottery camp, done my first ever Raku firing and I’ve got just one more craft fair to get ready for. Hoping to give my pots new homes - leaving my shelves bare and ready for refilling 😊. There will definitely be more Raku and trying more sculptural pieces, but I cannot wait to get back on the wheel. If you’re in the city on Saturday pop into the Forum to say hi. Be great to see you 😁. #ceramics #craftfair #forumnorwich @jabbawockycraft @jamesstanleywatson I was going to wait until Christmas to open this, but I needed something to put my coffee in! 👀❤️ Arrived today, totally gorgeous and even better in my excited little hand. Can’t quite believe I managed to bag one ☺️ #pottery #potterythrowdown #earlychristmaspresenttomyself #baaaa Wowsers what a busy day, a big thankyou to those that purchased something shiny from me, I hope you love it as much as I loved making it ☺️and thanks to everyone who stopped by my stall for a pottery chat 😃 I really enjoyed the first Norwich ceramics market! 😊 @norwichceramicsmarket @cretaceous_creations_ thankyou for organising! #clay #market #norwich #pottery #ceramics
