Creative Media Skills- Prop making Course – part 1 – experience with Francesco Fabiani at Pinewood Studios – 08-04-2019 What an experience! I managed to get onto this great prop making course at Creative Media Skills in London, not expecting to turn up to Pinewood Studios! Once in their comprehensive…

We recently updated Dragonframe at NUA to 4.1.2 and I hadn’t tested our eMotimo motion control rig since the update. I’m scheduled to do an introductory session to motion control and Advanced Camera techniques with the 3rd years next week, so thought it judicious to test it out before then.…

I love checking out new software, so when the opportunity came up to be involved with some freelance animation involving lip-sync, I decided to check out the latest version of Character Animator, part of the Adobe Suite. I knew that it automated some aspects of animation, and after a bit…

Here are my starting drawings for the mugs I recently threw. Then the handles got pulled a couple of days ago. Today was tidying them up for the last time before popping them back into a box to homogenise the wetter and drier clay. I want some of these to be pink and some to be green, does pink and green work together🤣 not sure about that, but might try a test tile… #pottery #mugs #pink #wheelthrown A little bit of throwing shapes, just like the old days. 🤪 These forms are slight adaptations from earlier cups that I personally really like to hold and use, just a more curved base shape. They’re feeling mighty thin, so hope I will be able to attach some lovely pulled handles! #pottery #wheelthrown #pulledhandles #ceramics I remember this 🤣 What better way to celebrate New Year 🤩 Getting back on the wheel is lovely, not making it easy for myself and hoping to get a trio of bud vase shapes that can be a set, the intention is to Raku and use decoration, as well as shape to tie them together. The last thrown shape went so wobbly, not quite sure why, but when I was cleaning up I slapped it with my sponge as well to add to its woes 🤪 Don’t think that one is going to make it! #pottery #wheelthrown #playwithclay #happynewyear All ready down at the Forum with lots of crafty Christmas goodies. Come on down and say hi! #forum #christmas #market I’ve had a great year with my pottery this year, pushed myself to try tricky techniques, attended a crazy intense pottery camp, done my first ever Raku firing and I’ve got just one more craft fair to get ready for. Hoping to give my pots new homes - leaving my shelves bare and ready for refilling 😊. There will definitely be more Raku and trying more sculptural pieces, but I cannot wait to get back on the wheel. If you’re in the city on Saturday pop into the Forum to say hi. Be great to see you 😁. #ceramics #craftfair #forumnorwich @jabbawockycraft @jamesstanleywatson I was going to wait until Christmas to open this, but I needed something to put my coffee in! 👀❤️ Arrived today, totally gorgeous and even better in my excited little hand. Can’t quite believe I managed to bag one ☺️ #pottery #potterythrowdown #earlychristmaspresenttomyself #baaaa
