    New York, New York!

A big birthday necessitated a big trip to celebrate, so where better than the Big Apple! It also gave me an ideal opportunity to test out my new travel Camera – the Fuji XT-30, plus 28mm prime. The heat in New York was pretty unbearable and these guys with the…

    TV Paint and After Effects

Teaching TV Paint to the Students at NUA is quite a change from any of the Adobe products, it’s a bit of a lore unto itself. No keyboard shortcuts are the same – I tell a lie, ctrl z! None of the students have com across this type of software…

with Francesco Fabiani at Pinewood Studios – 08-04-2019 The first task was a combination of sculpting with Plastiline and making small batches of Biscuit Foam to use as starting points for bulkier sculptures. A little bit of throwing shapes, just like the old days. 🤪 These forms are slight adaptations from earlier cups that I personally really like to hold and use, just a more curved base shape. They’re feeling mighty thin, so hope I will be able to attach some lovely pulled handles! #pottery #wheelthrown #pulledhandles #ceramics I remember this 🤣 What better way to celebrate New Year 🤩 Getting back on the wheel is lovely, not making it easy for myself and hoping to get a trio of bud vase shapes that can be a set, the intention is to Raku and use decoration, as well as shape to tie them together. The last thrown shape went so wobbly, not quite sure why, but when I was cleaning up I slapped it with my sponge as well to add to its woes 🤪 Don’t think that one is going to make it! #pottery #wheelthrown #playwithclay #happynewyear All ready down at the Forum with lots of crafty Christmas goodies. Come on down and say hi! #forum #christmas #market I’ve had a great year with my pottery this year, pushed myself to try tricky techniques, attended a crazy intense pottery camp, done my first ever Raku firing and I’ve got just one more craft fair to get ready for. Hoping to give my pots new homes - leaving my shelves bare and ready for refilling 😊. There will definitely be more Raku and trying more sculptural pieces, but I cannot wait to get back on the wheel. If you’re in the city on Saturday pop into the Forum to say hi. Be great to see you 😁. #ceramics #craftfair #forumnorwich @jabbawockycraft @jamesstanleywatson I was going to wait until Christmas to open this, but I needed something to put my coffee in! 👀❤️ Arrived today, totally gorgeous and even better in my excited little hand. Can’t quite believe I managed to bag one ☺️ #pottery #potterythrowdown #earlychristmaspresenttomyself #baaaa Wowsers what a busy day, a big thankyou to those that purchased something shiny from me, I hope you love it as much as I loved making it ☺️and thanks to everyone who stopped by my stall for a pottery chat 😃 I really enjoyed the first Norwich ceramics market! 😊 @norwichceramicsmarket @cretaceous_creations_ thankyou for organising! #clay #market #norwich #pottery #ceramics
